Why EV Odyssey
As electric vehicle adoption increases, the demand for proper charging infrastructure is critical. However, the process of assessing whether an existing electrical setup can support EV charging can be complex and time-consuming.
Our application addresses this need by allowing EV owners to easily upload information about their current electrical installations, ensuring that engineers have the necessary details to provide accurate advice and solutions.
While working with a UK energy company, we identified a significant bottleneck in the process of collecting the essential data required for facilitating EV installations. This challenge was hindering the company's ability to efficiently support the growing demand for electric vehicle infrastructure.

To address this issue, we conducted thorough research, engaging closely with engineers to understand their needs and the specific challenges they faced. With these insights, we developed EV Odyssey from the ground up, creating a tailored solution designed to streamline data collection and significantly improve the efficiency of the EV Charger installation process.
What does it do
EV Odyssey is a mobile application designed to streamline the process of preparing for an EV Charger installation. The app allows users to use the camera on their smartphones to take photos and videos of their existing home infrastructure, such as electrical panels, sockets, and wiring.

By enabling users to visually document their current setup, EV Odyssey ensures that engineers receive accurate and detailed information, which is essential for assessing the suitability of the existing infrastructure for an EV Charger installation.
This approach not only speeds up the process but also reduces the need for multiple site visits, making the entire installation process more efficient and convenient.
